ENGAGE. EXPLORE. ENRICH.

At Camp Blackmon we learn, grow, and do!  Throughout each camp week we enjoy reading relevant fiction and non-fiction literature around our topic.  We create related artwork and themed crafts to express our learning.  We complete hands-on activities including experiments, games, puzzle solving, gardening and short film-making that connects to our theme.  We explore our topic in the kitchen with culinary flare and then enjoy the fruits of our labor.  In addition, we build friendships, share ideas and empower one another.  After our theme has been explored through out the week, we set out on a culminating  field trip adventure that brings our topic to life and celebrates all that we've learned!

Cultivate Kindness Week

JULY 1ST - JULY 5TH

Back by popular demand, this week campers will cultivate kindness in our community by taking part in a variety of age-appropriate volunteer opportunities to help others.  In the past we have worked with local organizations such as Bright Blessings, Pineville Neighbors Place, Classroom Central, the Humane Society, and others to lend a helping hand!  This is a feel-good camper favorite that will leave your child's heart full and impart the important lessons of kindness, caring, charity, volunteer work, and giving!
