I am using 5.0 ESXi, i am trying to deploy a OVA file for solarwinds. I keep getting this message: Unable to access file:\Documents and Settings\username\desktop\solarwinds Unalbe to load DLL'zlib1.dll. The specified module could not be found. Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E.

I searched my C: drive (WHERE /R C:\ zlib1.dll) and zlib1.dll is in multiple locations (and aparently different versions, too!), but none are in the PATH (WHERE zlib1.dll). So I copied C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VMware\USB\zlib1.dll to C:\Windows (Win 7 Pro). That seems to have resolved the issue, even if it is not an optimal solution.

I suspect that zlib1.dll may be missing from C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\Infrastructure\Virtual Infrastructure Client\5.0 or some other VI Client executable directory. This problem may also be related to cases where only the stand alone vSphere Client is installed.

VMware has confirmed this is a bug with vSphere Client 5, and the workaround is to install zlib1.dll manually "from somewhere else" - we pulled our copy from an earlier install of vSphere Client, I believe. When I asked this question on behalf of SolarWinds, the estimate I got for a built-in fix (update to vSphere Client) was March 2012. In the meantime, copying it manually is the approved workaround.

Once you have downloaded the file from a trusted website, copy it and head to the C:/Windows/System32/ directory on your computer and paste it. It will overwrite the existing file. When the file is pasted, open a CMD window and type in regsvr32 zlib1.dll and press Enter to register the file into the registry.

I installed ROS 2 humble on Windows and followed all the dependency steps, and tested packages like turtlesim without any problems. However, when I try to use rviz2 by using the command "rviz2" or "ros2 run rviz2 rviz2", it gives me an error message that I need zlib.dll. I downloaded and moved it to the ROS 2 bin folder, but then it prompted me that I also need zlib1.dll. I downloaded it as well and moved it to the same folder, but then it gave me an error message saying that it could not initialize (0xc000007b).

zlib data compression library This process is still being reviewed.Non-system processes like zlib1.dll originate from software you installed on your system. Since most applications store data on your hard disk and in your system's registry, it is likely that your computer has suffered fragmentation and accumulated invalid entries which can affect your PC's performance. In Windows Task Manager, you can see what CPU, memory, disk and network utilization is causing the zlib process. To access the Task Manager, hold down the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys at the same time. These three buttons are located on the far left of your keyboard.

I have installed PostgreSQL 10.1 32 bit version command line tools onWindows 10 x64 host. All ok - 32 bit software works, but pg_dump not -zlib1.dll is missing.Afterwards I performed full installation with Database server - zlib1.dllwas installed in Postgresql bin folder.I think this is a bug - you have to choose if is pg_dump one of command linetools - then install zlib1.dll - or - it isn't - then do not installpg_dump.

This response (we get the same with iconv.dll) seems wrong, sinceit is not flagging the file as a shared library of any sort. I'm notsure if the problem is with the magic database used by thefile program, or with the build of the DLLs in question. These two DLLs are built by third parties: zlib1.dll is in theofficial Windows DLL distribution from gzip.org and iconv.dll is fromlibiconv-1.9.1.bin.woe32.zip on ftp.gnu.org. I'mreluctant to get into compiling them myself, since these are theversions used by Tor Lillqvist in his GTK build (and the make forWindows looks scary).

Anyway, based on the output from file, libtool has gotthe idea that zlib1.dll and iconv.dll are not DLLs. We havetwo options at this point: (1) hack libtool, or (2) make our own .aimport libraries.
